Stanford Pediatric Radiology Innovation and Translation Center (SPRITC)

Medical imaging for children often utilizes systems and approaches that were designed for adults and sub optimally repurposed for children. However, a convergence of novel imaging physics, printing/fabrication technologies, therapeutic delivery systems, high performance computing, machine learning, and deep subspecialty expertise is now poised to transform advanced pediatric imaging to walk-in rapid and remote bespoke exams and procedures.

The Stanford Pediatric Radiology Innovation and Translation Center is the hub for committed scientists and clinicians to effect this transformation and thus dramatically improve child health. The Center brings together faculty from across the campus to catalyze multi-disciplinary projects. Further, the Center houses unique pediatric imaging resources, the first of which is a first-of-its-kind dedicated pediatric magnetic resonance scanner.
